This is a gem of a find.The location is beautiful and quiet.The bed is very comfortable and my husband and I had a great night sleep. We had a beautiful cooked breakfast which we could not fault.It came with a complaintry bowl of soft fruits.Amazing! The host is caring and friendly and nothing seems too much of a hassle for him. I would highly recommend and come back again and again.
Upon our late arrival Mike was there to gladly welcome us to Heronshaw House. He was incredibly inviting and warm when showing us to our room. Our room was stunning and very clean and had provisions to make tea and coffee in our room. Mike recommended a place to get something to eat, we travelled and it was fantastic. Come breakfast the next day we were greeted with fresh fruit, juices and our choice of tea or coffee. We had options for a vast array of museli which we declined that day and offered a full english which was prepared to order and it was delicious. We stayed two nights with and had another amazing breakfast prepared again the next day. I would highly recommend Mike and Heronshaw House, we will be back and thank you for being so welcoming to us and our dog.
Fabulous hotel, great hosts. Really comfortable, gorgeous rooms. Feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, but lots of great places nearby. Definitely recommend
Fantastic stay, Mike was lovely and ensured we had what we needed in the our rooms, even had some toiletries if we had forgotten (lovely touch) Fresh coffee, Tea and milk was placed on a try ready for the morning. Breakfast was lovely the with fresh fruit cereal and toast and cooked breakfast for extra price but cooked lovely and wonderful ingredients used.
Our second visit to Heronshaw house. This is the only guest house in the Bournemouth area to which we've ever returned. Don't let it's proximity to the airport make you believe it will be noisy. It's extremely peaceful and set within beautiful gardens and surrounding countryside which is ideal if you have a dog. The beaches are only 10-15 minutes away and it is nice to be able to retreat to the tranquility of the countryside after a hectic day. Immaculately clean rooms, good quality bedding/towels and countryside views. Guest lounge is comfortable and welcoming. Friendly greeting by hosts. Mike is extremely accommodating and does everything possible to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Nothing is too much trouble and the whole experience was very homely.
Mike is an absolute legend! We were let down by another place who cancelled on us at last minute and we spent two hours searching for somewhere we could stay that allowed dogs! Mike had availability and was tremendously accommodating to our sudden arrival and our dogs. The place is beautiful surrounded by huge fields, very peaceful, the house itself is super tidy and breakfast was delicious! Mike thank you for your wonderful hospitality and our stay!
Fantastic welcome and a beautiful old farm house. 10 minutes walk to Bournemouth Airport but literally so quiet! Lovely hot breakfast in the morning with a great selection of cereals. Wonderful hot powerful shower and very comfy bed. Loved fresh milk bring available in a flask rather than the usual UHT milk cartons.
Staying with my partner and Greyhound for 4 nights, we were made to feel most welcome by Mile and Andrea, nothing was to much trouble. The room was spacious, clean and to a high standard. The accommodation was peaceful and relaxing, the cooked breakfasts were incredible, even catering for a gluten free option. We had such a great stay we have booked already for next year. Thank you for being great hosts Mike and Andrea, the stay was wonderful.
